I offer acupuncture as a non-medication approach to treating a wide variety of pain and other conditions. My technique is grounded in both traditional Chinese acupuncture and my Western medical training in clinical diagnostics, anatomy, and physiology.
Acupuncture is for me an opportunity to treat symptoms that may not fall into a nice, neat medical diagnosis, and conditions that conventional medicine does not have very good treatments for. Acupuncture can also serve as an adjunctive treatment when medications are not controlling pain or other symptoms adequately. Acupuncture holds fascination for me in its ability to unblock the flow of energy and restore balance to the body, thereby allowing the body to heal itself. It is also a way to honor my life-long interest in East Asian languages and cultures.
